ĀTEA BLOCK PARTY – TERMS & CONDITIONS

We want everyone to have a safe and enjoyable time. Respect the land, the people, and each other.
Sexism, racism, homophobia, transphobia, unwanted touching, or any form of harassment will not be tolerated.

By purchasing or using a ticket (“Event Ticket”) to the Ātea Block Party (“Event”), you agree to the following terms and conditions (“Event Terms”). These Event Terms apply alongside all statements displayed on your ticket, the Event website, social media, or on-site signage.

“Event Staff” includes the Promoter, contractors, security, volunteers, and venue personnel.

1. Ticket Purchase

1.1 Tickets are sold through Flicket (“Ticket Merchant”). No other ticketing platform is authorised. All ticket prices include GST; booking and transaction fees are additional.
1.2 Tickets may not be resold above face value or used for promotions, competitions, or commercial gain without written consent from the Promoter. Breach of this condition may result in ticket cancellation without refund.
1.3 The Promoter reserves the right to limit ticket quantities per person and cancel tickets purchased beyond those limits.

2. Entry Conditions

2.1 Entry requires presentation of a valid Event Ticket and is subject to the Conditions of Entry set out below.
2.2 Complimentary tickets are non-transferable without prior written consent from the Promoter.
2.3 Tickets are non-refundable or exchangeable except where required by law.
2.4 The Promoter will comply with all current health, safety, and public health requirements in force at the time of the Event.
2.5 Age Restriction: This is a supervised R18 event. Patrons under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
2.6 Postponement Date: Sunday 21 December 2025 (rain date).
If the Event is cancelled in full, refunds will be processed less a $10 administration fee plus ticketing charges.

3. Conditions of Entry

  • All patrons and their belongings may be searched on entry. Refusal to comply may result in denied entry without refund.

  • Prohibited items include alcohol, illegal drugs, weapons, glass, cans, fireworks, drones, lasers, or any object deemed unsafe by Event Staff.

  • No outside food or drink may be brought into the venue.

  • No pass-outs or re-entry once you leave the venue.

  • The Promoter reserves the right to refuse entry or remove any person who is intoxicated, aggressive, or breaches Event Terms.

  • Entry is conditional on following all directions from security, Police, and Event Staff.

4. Compliance and Conduct

4.1 All patrons must follow directions of Event Staff and comply with all laws and regulations, including liquor licensing and local bylaws.
4.2 The Promoter may refuse entry or eject any person who acts in a disorderly, unsafe, or antisocial manner.
4.3 Entry and attendance are at your own risk. The Promoter accepts no liability for injury, loss, or damage arising from attendance.

5. Media and Photography

5.1 By attending, you consent to being filmed or photographed. You grant Tame Iti Ltd and Ātea full rights to use such material for marketing and promotional purposes in perpetuity without compensation.

6. Environmental Care

Respect the whenua. Dispose of waste in the bins provided. Do not damage or remove property, plants, or decorations. Support waste minimisation and recycling on-site.

7. Line-up and Event Changes

7.1 The advertised line-up is subject to change. Changes to artists, schedule, or production do not entitle ticket holders to a refund unless required by law.
7.2 The Promoter may alter site layout, staging, or capacity for safety or operational reasons.

8. Refunds and Postponement

8.1 Refunds will only be issued if the Event is cancelled in full and cannot be rescheduled.
8.2 In the event of postponement, tickets automatically transfer to the new date.
8.3 Refunds (if applicable) will be processed less a $10 administration fee plus any ticketing charges.

9. Risk and Liability

9.1 Attendance is at your own risk. The Promoter, Venue, Event Staff, and partners accept no responsibility for injury, illness, loss, or theft of property.
9.2 Patrons are responsible for their personal belongings at all times.
9.3 The Promoter accepts no liability for consequential losses arising from cancellation or postponement due to circumstances beyond its control (e.g. weather, natural disaster, health order, or emergency).

10. Variation

10.1 The Promoter may update these Event Terms at any time. Updates take effect immediately once published on the Event website or social media.

11. Privacy

11.1 Tame Iti Ltd complies with the Privacy Act 2020. Personal information collected through Flicket or the Event website will be used only for ticketing, contact tracing, and Event communication.
11.2 Information may be shared with health authorities if required by law.
11.3 By purchasing a ticket, you consent to being contacted about this and future Ātea events. You can unsubscribe at any time.

12. Governing Law

These Event Terms are governed by New Zealand law. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of New Zealand.
